PATRICIA S LEMER, M.ED., NCC

Patricia S. Lemer, M.Ed., NCC, is the Editor and co-author of EnVISIONing a Bright Future: Interventions that Work for Children and Adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders (OEP Foundation, 2008). She is a co-founder and the executive director of Developmental Delay Resources (DDR), a 15-year-old non-profit organization integrating conventional and holistic approaches for children with developmental delays.

Patricia is a National Certified Counselor, and draws on over 40 years experience as a mental health professional. For the past 20 years, she has served as a bridge between optometry and special education, writing and lecturing on the relationship between vision and learning/behavioral problems. She discourages labeling of children, and specializes in combining developmentally appropriate practice with sound theory. She is especially interested in combining a biomedical approach with vision and other movement and sensory-based therapies.
