Course Description:
You are expected to interpret lab values accurately and take the appropriate action. However, you might recognize that your understanding of lab values may be limited and the interpretation of the results is complex. You may be comfortable with the CBC and BMP, but it is easy to be intimidated by the array of lab values in acute and chronic settings.

Join Robin W. McBrearty as she highlights both the common and less frequently seen lab values. Utilizing a case-based approach, she will explore a large variety of labs, why they are ordered, and what the results tell us about your patients. By understanding the clues that these values provide, you can utilize critical thinking to plan your course of action and ensure the best possible outcomes for your patients.
Please refer to the course brochure for continuing education information.
