LORRAINE MICHELETTI, RN, MA, MSN, CCRN

Lorraine Micheletti has extensive clinical and leadership skills. She is a strong leader with significant experience in post open heart, recovery room, CCU, MICU, SICU, Telemetry, and Endoscopy. Past roles held include those of: charge nurse, clinical educator, assistant nurse manager, manager and director. She is currently a patient care manager in PAT, SPU, PACU, and Endoscopy and, as time permits, serves as an adjunct faculty member. Working with staff in acute care and teaching nursing students is where Lorraine finds valuable opportunities to prepare both current and future leaders. Lorraine is respected for her highly effective communication, interpersonal strengths, commitment to mentoring and achievement in staff development.

She is a member of the Honor Society of Sigma Theta Tau. Lorraine continuous to be an active member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, serving as a past President of the local chapter. She is a sought-after regional and national speaker on various management and clinical topics. Additionally, Lorraine has several published journal articles to her credit.

Lorraine has worked in several institutions, both big and small, and has met numerous managers and directors along the way. Among this management group, she found outstanding leaders that she learned from and continues to learn from. Some of them do not have formal titles or positions, but exhibit fantastic informal leadership skills. As a result of her experiences, Lorraine has concluded that nurses are not adequately trained to take on leadership roles as there are not enough teachers and mentors to groom the next generation. She looks forward to sharing the key "pearls" she has accumulated through the years - to contribute to your own successes!
