WILLIAM NEIMAN, JD

William Neiman, J.D., is a senior attorney and co-supervisor in the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office. His responsibilities, in addition to supervision, focus on representing hospitals and families who seek involuntary commitment of mentally ill, chemically dependent, or developmentally disabled persons. Mr. Neiman specializes in adolescent cases. He is a former clinical instructor of juvenile law at the University of Minnesota School of Law.

 

He has also been a juvenile prosecutor, child abuse prosecutor, and a child protection attorney. Mr. Neiman earned his BA and JD at the University of Minnesota and is a frequent presenter in the community on Hennepin County commitment topics.
