DAVID S. ALTER, PHD, LP, ABPP, ABPH

David Alter, PhD, ABPP, ABPH, is the Co-Founder and Clinical Director of Partners in Healing of Minneapolis, MN – an integrative, multi-disciplinary mental health center where he provides neuropsychological, psychological, and behavioral medicine services. As a clinician with a 31-year history of practice in clinical neuropsychology, he has spent decades witnessing and influencing the many pathways by which clients’ brains, minds and bodies “talk” to each other. 

Dr. Alter teaches internationally and is the author of Staying Sharp: 9 Keys for a Youthful Brain through Modern Science and Ageless Wisdom (Simon & Schuster, 2015). He obtained his PhD through the Rosalind Franklin School of Medicine & Science in Chicago, IL. David served as President of the Minnesota Society of Clinical Hypnosis and on the Executive Board of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH). He is also an ASCH Approved Consultant in clinical hypnosis.
