BROOKE E. FERRERO, PH.D.

Brooke Ferrero, Ph.D., NCSP, is a licensed school psychologist with extensive experience supporting students with a history of trauma and diagnoses of ODD, conduct disorder, ADHD, depression, anxiety, learning disabilities, and students who have multiple disabilities. She works in a large urban public high school and has previous experience supporting students in a therapeutic day school setting. Dr. Ferrero delivers consultation and evaluation services, in addition to therapeutic and crisis intervention supports. She works directly with school administrators, school resource officers, and local law enforcement to maintain a safe and supportive educational environment for all students and staff.

 

Dr. Ferrero received her Ph.D. in school psychology at Illinois State University, and completed an internship in Pediatric Neuropsychology at the Children’s Hospital of Illinois. Her research interests focus on risk-taking behaviors in socioeconomically disadvantaged youth. This focus has resulted in extensive collaboration with a local school district, county health department, and community resources to provide comprehensive, developmentally appropriate sexual education for all students. Dr. Ferrero is a member of the Illinois School Psychologist Association and the National Association of School Psychologists.
