MELINDA BARNETT, ED.D., M.ED.

Melinda Barnett, Ed.D., M.Ed., has over 26 years of experience in the field of education. She began her career as a secondary teacher, then served as a counselor before earning her principal certificate. She then began working at an educational service center serving six counties, approximately 87,000 students, and more than 6,100 educators. Her work as the director of the Educator Certification Program provided training for beginning teachers, administrators, and professional development for the school districts served.

 

Dr. Barnett is an accomplished presenter providing extensive training in teacher and administrative development. She has served as an adjunct professor for a local university, and continues to collaborate on research and best practices in the field of education. In addition to her work with educators, Dr. Barnett works with regional and local leadership organizations building leadership capacity in her community, as well as identifying and developing youth leaders in local school districts. Her passion is providing service and support to the professionals who in turn provide services and support for our children.
