As owner of The Healing Touch, Inc., Joan now provides wound care consulting services to healthcare organizations and shares her expertise as a requested presenter both nationally and internationally. Joan's seminars are a combination of practical knowledge gleaned from her extensive experience and are always backed up by the latest research and guidelines.

Joan has been President of the Nebraska Wound, Ostomy Continence Nurses Society™ and chaired the WOCN® national committee to accredit WOCN® education programs. She is on the speakers' bureau for the Advanced Wound Care Society. Articles she has authored have been published in several peer reviewed journals. She has been invited faculty for regional and national WOCN® conferences and SAWC wound conferences.
