"Life After Loss is a “must read” for all clinicians seeking practical knowledge and information to help the grieving person. Dr. Rainer’s work is not only inspirational but also an all-inclusive, clinically astute, and reader friendly exposition on the complex world of grief, loss, mourning, and bereavement. This text takes its reader on an instructional journey from historical roots to current practice. Highlights of this journey include, but are not limited to, concise definitions, grief differentiation, emotional response patterns, grief counseling, social ceremonies, multicultural implications, spiritual, legal and ethical considerations, and special issues. These highlights are complimented by poignant case examples that enhance both content and reader interest.
