Who We’re Looking for:
With rapidly growing dynamic business opportunities both nationally and internationally, we’re looking for an Email marketer who thrives on writing strategic campaigns that generate immediate sales. The person in this position should have outstanding copywriting skills, strong business acumen and enjoy working in a team environment.

The person in this role will manage a sales-based Email calendar with an entrepreneurial mindset — treating each campaign as if they were the sole owner, driving monthly sales, and growing revenue year over year.

What You Will Be Doing: (responsibilities)
  • Write and develop compelling offers (both short and long-form copy) that drive conversions
  • Manage Email calendar, including selecting campaigns, maintaining calendar layout, writing copy, and analyzing and reporting results
  • Identify new opportunities to increase KPIs through automation, segmentation, and A/B testing
  • Use your own creative abilities and data skills to enhance and refine our proven marketing methodology
  • Measure and analyze marketing campaign performance to make data-driven decisions that allow you to rapidly respond to the needs, demands, and tastes of our audience
  • Test new strategies to build audiences, increase engagement and boost reach
  • Coordinate and align marketing efforts with business operations to launch new training events and products
Requirements:
  • Experience ideating, writing, and analyzing Email campaigns
  • Proven success with Email copywriting (please submit examples with your resume)
  • College Degree in Marketing, Business, Journalism or related field and/or relevant experience
  • Ability to measure Email performance using analytics tools and sales reports
  • Ability to articulate strategy and tell stories with data
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, as well as collaboratively in a team environment

  • Direct response copywriting
  • Online course marketing
  • Live event marketing
  • Basic HTML skills a plus
  • Familiarity with PowerBi, Excel, Hubspot, and Google Analytics

Overview of the PESI Publishing Team:
The PESI Publishing team is a rapidly growing independent publisher that produces mental health workbooks, treatment guides, children’s books, flip charts, and therapeutic card decks for clinicians, educators, and other professionals. Our recently launched trade imprint, Bridge City Books, produces self-help resources, memoirs, and other self-improvement books that “bridge” the gap between our clinical audience and the everyday person.

We work with respected experts, thought leaders, and professionals in the fields of psychology, wellness, parenting, personal growth, and more, including Amazon and New York Times bestselling authors such as Lori Gottlieb, Judson Brewer, Daniel Siegel, Janina Fisher, David Burns, and more! Our mission is to connect knowledge with need, and in that spirit, we strive to create straightforward, practical, and credible resources that make information easily accessible to all.

We publish 30 to 40 titles annually and are only growing every year. Our collaborative team works in a fast-paced environment, takes calculated risks, and brings passion to everything we do (and we actually mean it!).

What You Will Be Doing: (responsibilities)
  • Design book covers, interiors, and components
  • Work collaboratively with acquisitions, production editors, and manufacturing to complete projects per established design and standards
  • Package files, create final pdfs for printers
  • Fulfill image requests from other departments for publicity, marketing, and social media
  • Maintain content specifications and design guidelines 
  • Manage production schedules and changing initiatives while meeting deadlines

What You Bring to the Team: (skills and requirements)
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience in book publishing design or editorial design
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Illustrator); Advanced InDesign skills preferred
  • Strong knowledge of typography, page layout, and graphic design principles
  • Full understanding of black & white and full-color printing processes, RGB/CMYK color spaces, and image formats
  • Ability to think creatively and be an effective problem solver, while staying in budget and on schedule 
  • Capability to follow direction and the flexibility to modify a design response based on project feedback
  • Enjoys a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment
  • A portfolio with strong book cover and book interior layout designs

What Would Thrill Us:
  • Drawing and/or illustration skills
  • Experience creating digital web ads and social media content
