David G. Kamen, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist licensed in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. In practice since 2001, Dr. Kamen draws from a wide range of experience with high risk populations: community mental health and emergency room services; residential milieu; guardian ad litem family court work; and evaluation of disability claimants for Medicaid, Social Security, and Veterans affairs. For the past 18 years, Dr. Kamen has worked in both solo and group private practice to help clients of all ages who engage in deliberate self-harm/non-suicidal self-injury. Dr. Kamen’s experience over the past decade has been furthered with peer-review publication; national speaking engagements; and with adjunct teaching for Argosy, University of the Rockies and Southern New Hampshire University. Forensic investigations for the Ethics Conduct Committee of the New Hampshire Board of Mental Health Practice have furthered Dr. Kamen’s concerns for high risk clientele.
Fellowships with The Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute and Psychoanalytic Institute of New England have enhanced Dr. Kamen’s insights into the narcissistic violence of codependency and gaslighting – perhaps the most dangerous forms of relationship abuse that high-risk clients face. For further information, please visit Dr. Kamen’s website, TheGaslightingDr.com., Facebook & Twitter pages; and related mobile app and podcasts, entitled, “Gaslighting Fix;” and look for his latest project, the graphic novel Gaslighting.
