TRACEY LONG, PHD, MS, MSN, RN, APRN-BC, CDCE, CCRN, CNE, COI

Dr. Tracey Long has been a practicing RN for 35 years and is a nursing professor teaching courses in medical Spanish, diabetes education, cultural competency, critical care and medical surgical nursing. She has been a certified diabetes educator for 25 years and has formally taught hundreds of healthcare professionals to be ready to take the certification exam. As a family nurse practitioner, she has worked in endocrinology.



One of her favorite activities is bringing nurses and healthcare professionals internationally each year to volunteer in medical clinics in Central and South America. She has a passion for active learning and as an international speaker and award-winning educator, Tracey helps nurses truly learn and apply the material to improve patient care.
