Debra Battistella, MS, OTR/L, has over 20 years of experience working with the geriatric population in physical medicine rehab. For most of her career, she worked in a certified stroke center where she participated in the development of several programs, including a modified Constraint Induced Movement Therapy program and a critical care Early Mobility Protocol.
Debra is owner of Creative Concepts in Occupational Therapy PLLC, where she supports physical medicine occupational therapy practitioners with online trainings and programs. She is co-host of the Noggins & Neurons Brain Injury Recovery Simplified podcast which gives her an opportunity to share her passion for the brain and neuroplasticity with survivors, their care partners and healthcare professionals.
Debra is full-time faculty, Academic Field work Coordinator and Level II OTA Fieldwork educator at SUNY Erie Community College, located in Western New York. There, she also provides college-based OT services that support student, faculty and staff emotional well-being at the group and population levels.
